Expert Ifor Williams Servicing in Essex

Regular servicing is essential for keeping your trailer roadworthy, reliable, and compliant with UK safety regulations. Our team follows the official Ifor Williams servicing schedule and NTTA standards to ensure every trailer leaves our workshop in top condition.

• Jack up and make safe using our professional trailer lift – all wheels and jockey wheel off the ground
• Remove hubs, inspect sealed bearings or strip and assess bearings and seals
• Check wheel studs and bolts, re-grease, and reassemble
• Inspect coupling, drawbar bushes and rubber bellows for wear or splits; test breakaway cable and damper operation; grease as required
• Remove, clean and re-grease the jockey wheel assembly, ensuring correct reassembly and clamp pad fitting
• Check Indespension units, coil and leaf springs for damage (including hangers and bolts)
• Inspect mudguards, mounts, chassis and floor for corrosion, fatigue or defects
• Check all wheels and tyres for damage, tread depth and correct pressures
• Test lighting, wiring, and electrical systems for full functionality

We carry a large stock of genuine Ifor Williams parts to ensure quick turnaround times and long-lasting repairs. As an authorised distributor, we also handle Ifor Williams warranty work and post-purchase servicing, giving you total peace of mind.

All prices are subject to VAT and may vary depending on the condition of your trailer. Any additional work will always be discussed and agreed before proceeding.

Ifor Williams recommends trailers are serviced every 12 months or every 3,000–6,000 miles (whichever comes first). Even if your trailer is only used occasionally, an annual service helps identify wear early and prevents costly breakdowns later.

Collection & Delivery Service Within 50 Miles

We know it’s not always convenient to bring your trailer to us, so SB Trailers offers a collection and delivery service for customers within a 50-mile radius of our Essex base.

We charge £2 per mile for the total round trip (from our location to yours and back again). This cost is subject to standard VAT rates. Simply let us know your postcode when booking, and we’ll confirm your total collection fee.
